While conducting mid-year audits, the Caravus Eligibility Team noticed there was a newborn dependent that was reaching the end of their 30-day post-birth coverage period. Carriers automatically enroll newborn babies to ensure hospital claims can begin to be processed, but it is still the responsibility of the new parent to update the dependent information with their employer.
The Solution
Members of the Caravus team reached out to the client and employee, helping both client and employee enroll the infant dependent quickly in Caravus Connect. All necessary information was updated with the carriers as well through Connect’s integration capabilities.
